1. Since Okonkwo's accident was not taken so lightly in his fatherland he was forbidden to come back for seven years. His entire family had to sadly come along for they had to leave their precious tribe. Okonkwo knew that only in his "motherland" was he to be accepted. As said that being a mother, a woman forgives her children for all the shame they have committed. For only a mothers' love can be as strong as to excuse her child's actions. Since Okonkwo's mother had passed away when he was a child his mother's family was still living in Mbanta, his hometown known as his motherland. His uncle, (mother's brother) took him in as a member of the tribe once more, for the sad look of desperation told Uchendu that Okonkwo had committed yet another crime. Okonkwo knew that the fatal accident caused pain to the boy's father but he did not understand why so much was being done for such a thing as an accident. All Uchendu understood was that his home would be gladly shared to him for Mbanta, was Okonkwo's motherland and it was there where all his actions were to be forgiven.

2. The Abame clan, along with many other tribes that were whipped out by these white men had many in fear. For the white men had come back to the Abame tribe as they had seen one of their freind's horse tied up to a tree which only gave them one conclusion, that the Ibo people were the assassinators of their beloved companion. As to repay the Abame for their sins the white men had visited the tribe on an early market morning and with all their guns and weapons killed the entire tribe. Okonkwo and Uchendu only commented on the fact that since all the white men had seen the horse tied up, the villagers had no one to blame but themselves for their deaths. For they should have been prepared at any time with their own weapons, so when the white men came they would be equipped to fight back. When it comes to new challenges I think that the newer the generation of men the more capable they will be able to fight more strongly. For their skills would not be faded out with age. They have more advanced tools in every occasion. Also knowing that with out the achievements of the older men, the younger generation of the tribe couldn't have been as far with their fighting techniques and as good warriors. When Uchendu spoke of all stories never being untrue, he meant that all stories had an origin. With out that origin stories wouldn't have gotten its purpose. Through out the story there is at least one point of their life that could retell it in their own words. There would be no reason for anyone to make up a story with such powerful morals.

3. The first time Okonkwo's friend Obierka came and visited him he brought along two men. They were both carrying bags of cowries. Obierka had brought money from Okonkow's yams. He had taken it upon himself to seed Okonkwo's yams and sell his seeds for the money they were worth. The second time he came to visit Okonkwo he came to notify him of his son. There was a missionary in Umuofia and they had built their church there. In the mission he saw Nwoye and knew he had to notify Okonkwo of his sons actions. For Okonkwo had already known he did not wish to speak about Nwoye. Not even the boy himself classified Okonkwo as his father any longer. They both almost despised themselves. Nwoye's reason for converting to Christianity was that he also saw no reason in Believing in worthless spirits. He was open to the new experience, that almost seemed to relieve him from his father's ways. Many people didn't want this new missionary to come forth for it only separated its original community and denied them the same beliefs. The Igbo and missionaries see themselves to be as threats towards each other. Making it impossible for them to live in the same place peacefully. The ones who are mainly attracted to this new religion are the ones who like the fact that they could have eternal life after life on earth. Nwoye first felt moved by the Christians' words as he listened to the brothers speaking about the one and only god. It was its poetry that captivated him to feel a sense of belonging. As more time passed he then understood about what had happened in his life and had respect for the brothers that took it upon themselves to convert those who didn't believe in their one god. When Okonkwo had first seen his son involved in the church, he immediately felt shameful for having such a son that would betray and disgrace his family's culture and name. He felt so much rage he beat Nwoye as he came into his father's obi. After that day neither father nor son would admit of their relationship.

4. Even though the Mbanta church had some problems, they confronted them with the help of the word of god. They faced problems like many not believing in its ability to stay, especially with so many thinking its grounds were possessed by "evil spirits". The disapproval of Mbanta also gave them things to worry about for they wanted to isolate their church and its members from any source of food or communication. One problem that involved beating was when someone from the church protested against Mbanta's cultural spirits, the man was later on severely beaten for his "foolish remarks." The Christian missionaries have so many problems with the people of Mbanta because of their wide differences with their religions. The Christians' are more peaceful and forgiving people, while Mbanta people believe in punishing one for their wrongs and following the word of the spirits within nature. They also believe that women who have twins or deformed children are also of bad spirits and should be punished. For the Christians' point of view towards the Mbanta people is that their spiritual religion is full of nonsense and meaningless.

5. In Mbanta many changes have been noticeable through out generations. The way that younger men are becoming rebellious and dishonoring their fathers wishes and households are some of the changes happening. As well as foolish mistakes have the oldest generation worried. The clan worries for the future of the clan could be in danger. The young future leaders might not be prepared to take over such important tasks as a leaders for they might not have the mind of a prosperous leader. The clan would not be as strong and stable if the men are not capable of winning, giving the opponent the ability to take over and ruin what past fathers fought for. As the white men are clearly taking over land by land they are not in guarantee that the future leaders will and can fight back as well as defend what is theirs. The oldest generation of warriors might have been the last prosperous generation that lives in Mbanta, as true Igbo people. Soon making Mbanta a simple story in the future, and a thing of the past.
